Microwave and Infrared Transmission through Normally Opaque Objects*

Abstract

Metallic fractals are known to possess localized electromagnetic resonances. The log- periodic localized resonances on H-fractals are shown to induce micro- and infrared wave transparency through normally opaque objects. This is illustrated in three different contexts.
