Slow Light Modes in Non-Magnetie Negative Refractive Index Waveguides

Abstract

We demonstrate the possibility of slow light in strongly anisotropic dielectric waveguides. Sufficiently strong anisotropic response produces negative refractive index in the waveguide core, which enables low group velocity modes.
