Nano Optical Modes of Gap Structure in a Left-Hand-Metamaterial Waveguide

Abstract

A dielectric gap in a metamaterial is employed for simultaneous transport of right and left hand optical fields. The metamaterial is implemented by elongated nano-metallic inclusions, to generate negative refractive index by the waveguide anisotropy.
