Magneto-optical Kerr effects of magnetic garnet thin films including plasmonic noble-metal nanoparticles

Abstract

We report an experimental study on magneto-optical (MO) Kerr effects of yttrium iron garnet (YIG) films incorporating plasmonic Au nanoparticles. The results indicate a possible coupling between the MO Kerr effects and localized surface plasmons.
