Tunable Surface-Plasmon Resonances in Strongly Coupled Metallo-Dielectric Multiple Layers

Abstract

The coupling between semiconductor electron-hole pairs and surface plasmons in metallo-dielectric stacks is investigated experimentally and theoretically, showing that these heterostructures can be used to introduce geometrically tunable resonances in the photonic density of modes.
