Metal coated nano-cavities for plasmonic and metallic nano-lasers

Abstract

The metallic nano-cavities employed in recently demonstrated metallic cavity nano-lasers and their further miniaturization are examined here. An overview will also be given of latest results from devices employing metal-insulator-metal structures with sub-wavelength dimensions.
