Plasmonic Metamaterial With Coupling Induced Transparency

Abstract

A plasmonic “molecule” consisting of a radiative element coupled with a sub-radiant (dark) element is theoretically investigated. The plasmonic “molecule” shows electromagnetic response that closely resembles the electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) in an atomic system.
