Amplification of Burst Mode Picosecond Pulses to High Peak Powers in Chirally Coupled Core (3C) Fibers

Abstract

We demonstrate 3C fiber amplification of bursts of up to ten variable duration (50– 500ps) and frequency pulses. 300kW peak power pulses with 160μJ, 50ps burst energy were achieved at 32W average power and M2~1.1.
