Silicon Electro-Optic Modulator based on the Theory of Gate-controlled Diode

Abstract

Visible light emission from the reverse-biased silicon p-n junction is the prerequisite. For the first time ever, the theory of gate-diode is used to investigate the electroluminescence observed in the silicon electro-optic modulator.
