Enhanced Raman Scattering in a 10 Attoliter Nanohole

Abstract

We give the first report of Raman spectroscopy performed inside a single nanoaperture filled with a solution of Raman-active molecules and show a signal enhancement for a diameter-to-wavelength ratio close to the fundamental mode cut-off.
