Abstract

We introduce the world’s first multi-channel, high-speed optical receiver using Ge waveguide photodetectors monolithically integrated in the CMOS process. The integrated receivers achieves a sensitivity of -14.2dBm (10−12 BER) at 10Gbps and 1550nm.
