Grating Mediated Waveguiding and Holographic Solitons

Abstract

We demonstrate experimentally a new method of waveguiding, relying on Bragg diffractions from a bell/trough shaped 1D grating, and arising from cross-phase modulation. This system, when self-induced by the interacting waves, gives rise to "holographic-solitons".
