Impact of randomly varying fiber dispersion on dual-pump fiber-optic parametric amplifiers

Abstract

We study the impact of random variations in the zero-dispersion wavelength along the fiber length and show that they limit considerably the usable bandwidth of dual-pump fiber-optic parametric amplifiers.
