Squeezing of Bistable Solitons with Cubic-Quintic nonlinearity

Abstract

The quantum fluctuations of bistable solitons described by the nonlinear cubic-quintic Schrodinger equation (NCQSE) are studied. For the two bistable solitons with the same pulsewidth, their quantum fluctuations are found to be totally different due to the effects of the quintic nonlinearity.
