Abstract

We propose a novel quantization scheme for all-optical analog-to-digital conversion. The quantization is achieved by slicing the supercontinuum spectrum in which broadened spectral width depends on the peak power of the input pulse. An arrayed waveguide grating is used to slice the broadened spectrum to discrete wavelength channels.
