Extended Filamentation Of Ultrashort Pulses In The Presence Of Anomalous Group-Velocity Dispersion

Abstract

We have investigated the self-guiding of ultrafast pulses in bulk media in the anomalous dispersion regime and find that individual collapse events remain confined for significantly longer distances than pulses in the normal group-velocity dispersion regime.
