Optical parametric oscillations in photonic crystal microcavities: 3D time-domain analysis

Abstract

We investigate optical parametric oscillations via four-wave mixing in photonic crystals. Using a vectorial 3D time-domain approach, including dispersion and nonlinearity, we demonstrate OPO's with inverted opals and photonic crystal membranes in isotropic media.
