Partially incoherent optical vortices in self-focusing nonlinear media

Abstract

We observe stable propagation of spatially localized single- and double-charge optical vortices of partially incoherent light in self-focusing nonlinear media. We confirm the vortex stabilization numerically and show similar stabilization mechanism for higher-order vortices.
