Optical pattern and cavity solitons in a microcavity based on semiconductor quantum dots: microscopic model

Abstract

We develop an optical spatio-emporal model for quantum dots. Auger interaction terms are includes as well as the inhomogeneous distribution of quantum dot sizes. Both focusing and defocusing nonlinear regimes are highlighted for cavity soliton applications.
