Mode propagation and radiative coupling in photonic crystal waveguides

Abstract

We demonstrate a new spectroscopic tool to measure mode propagation and radiative coupling in photonic crystal waveguides. Tuning and extinction of the symmetry-engineered photonic gaps, and dispersion of the leaky modes are obtained.
