Flat Continuum Generation in the L-band Wavelength Range Using Passive Mode-Locked Figure-Eight Fiber Laser

Abstract

A figure-eight fiber laser is used to generate continuum in the L-band wavelength range (1565 nm - 1610 nm). The continuum is flat with peak to peak variation better than 3.5 dB within 31 nm spectral width.
