Abstract

We report observation and results of investigation of the analogue of the opto-optical switching process, where the laser output of the diode-pumped continuous-wave Cr:ZnSe and Cr:ZnS lasers around 2.5 µm is modulated by a few milliwatt of the visible and near-infrared radiation.
