Tests for non-randomness in quantum jumps

Abstract

We statistically analyze 230,000 intervals between internal transitions of single, laser-driven strontium ions, and over 240,000 intervals in simultaneously trapped ions. Our results are consistent with no short- or long-term correlations in the transition times.
