Abstract

Surface plasmon meditated fluorescence is studied in semiconductor and metal nanoparticle composite structures. A 10x enhancement in two-photon absorption-induced fluorescence is observed when the spacing between CdSe/ZnS quantum dot and Au nanoparticle layers is 10nm.
