Discrete solitons with competing second harmonic components in lithium niobate waveguide arrays

Abstract

We describe soliton families in waveguide arrays supported by quadratic nonlinear interactions between one fundamental and two second-harmonic modes, and apply our results to explain experimentally observed nonlinear propagation effects.
