Abstract
Optical parametric chirped-pulse amplification (OPCPA), using kilojoule-class Nd:glass lasers as pumps, could produce ultra-intense pulses (>1023 W/cm2). A midscale system is presented that will demonstrate technologies scalable to one pumped by OMEGA EP.
