Measuring of Broadband Similariton Chirp

Abstract

We generate a broadband (of ~100 nm bandwidth) nonlinear-dispersive similariton in a passive fiber, and characterize it through the chirp measurement, applying the technique of spectral compression and frequency tuning in the sum-frequency generation process.
