Simulation of anisotropic nonlinear χ(2) material with FDTD

Abstract

A fully three-dimensional finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) algorithm for the simulation of anisotropic χ(2)-nonlinearities is presented. This technique is then employed to study the nonlinear response of metallic nanoparticles on a GaAs-substrate.
