Azimuthons in weakly nonlinear waveguides

Abstract

We show that a weakly guiding nonlinear waveguide supports propagation of stable rotating solitons, azimuthons. We calculate analytically the rotation frequency of these solitons and find it to be in agreement with numerical simulations.
