Abstract

Single-molecule active-control microscopy (SMACM=(F)PALM, STORM, SMACM) utilizes single fluorophores as point sources for localization and on/off control to sparsely sample the underlying structure. Applications to biology and new 3D wide-field imaging approaches will be described.
