Abstract
Based on the introduction of fluorescent medium behind the specimen, laser oblique scanning optical microscopy (LOSOM) can visualize optical thickness in phase relief appearance for transparent samples. Here we demonstrate its application in visualization of HeLa cells and mouse kidney. Taking advantage of high sensitivity, it has also been applied for the study of microvascular circulation.
