Spectroscopy of Er3+ doped antimony silicate glasses for broad-band amplifier

Abstract

In Er3+-doped antimony silicate glasses, no compositional dependence was observed for the Judd-Ofelt Q6 parameter and local phonon energy. These results suggest that the Er3+ ions are surrounded selectively by Sb2O3-rich phase.
