Pulse compression with highly nonlinear photonic crystal fibers by optimization of input and output chirp parameters up to the third-order

Abstract

A commercial photonic crystal fiber is used for pulse compression of sub-nJ laser pulses. Simulations show that optimizing the input chirp of the seed pulse 6 fs compressed pulses can be obtained. Calculations are carried out for sub-ps pulses as well.
