Abstract
The Blu-ray Disc (BD) technology is now emerging. Many studies have been done on a high capacity rewritable version (RW), but none on a write-once version (R), even though it would be very attractive for this format. There are several constraints using organic write-once dyes. They currently present weak potentialities for high recording velocities. There are problems of spin coating maintenance, and it is also quite complicated to pill up several recordable levels. So we looked toward an inorganic solution and a possible media stack for a single and even a dual level inorganic write-once blu-ray disc.
