Abstract

We demonstrate all-optical demultplexing of an 80 Gbit/s pulse-position modulated data stream using an ultrafast nonlinear interferometer. Use of pulse-position modulated data permits a novel switch design that performs simultaneous demultiplexing, modulation-format conversion, and wavelength conversion.
