Abstract

A novel simple passive narrow-band tunable filter using chirped fiber Bragg gratings in loop mirror is proposed. The filters have 3-dB bandwidth of approximately 7% of the grating bandwidth. Bandpass and notch filter characteristics are available at the device output terminals.
