Abstract

Fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) are an important element in the development of optical communications and sensing systems. They have many important uses within the telecommunications industry, for example, as dispersion compen-sators and add/drop multiplexers.1 The increasing use and more-demanding specifications of FBGs make it essential to consider methods for the visualization and analysis of these devices for improvement of design and fabrication efficiency.
