Fluctuation Differences in the Principal States of Polarization in Aerial and Buried Cables

Abstract

PSP fluctuations in terrestrial cables under typical installed conditions were measured with a resolution in the order of seconds. PSP in an aerial-cable fluctuated several times faster than buried-cables and we found two different fluctuation behaviors in the same aerial-cable.
