Abstract

We demonstrated a new class of electrically tunable filters, which is based on a waveguide resonant sub-wavelength grating filter incorporating a tuning mechanism. They are ideally suited for applications in dynamic feedback loops, optical performance monitoring, and reconfigurable add/ drop multiplexers.
