Narrow Band Coupler Based on One-Dimensional Bragg Reflection Waveguide

Abstract

The strong difference between the dispersion of a Bragg reflection waveguide and a channel waveguide is used to create a narrow band coupler. The principle of operation is confirmed with experimental results showing 0.8nm bandwidth for a 2.2mm long coupler.
