Broadband, Wide Dynamic Range Liquid Crystal Devices

Abstract

Compact optical devices, covering both C and L bands with over 50 dB dynamic range, are realized using a single liquid crystal cell wtih a thin layer of tilted fused silica coating compensating its small residual birefringence.
