Fast and Accurate Characterization of Fiber Bragg Gratings with High Spatial and Spectral Resolution

Abstract

The complex reflectivity of fiber Bragg gratings is measured by optical frequency-domain reflectometry. By inverse scattering the complex coupling coefficient is reconstructed. A spatial resolution of 20µm is achieved, while measurement time is only a few seconds.
