Abstract

Transients induced by channel interactions due to stimulated Raman scattering in dynamic channel loading scenarios degrade the performance of transparent optical networks. Different compensation concepts were analyzed and compared numerically. Successful suppression of Raman transients below acceptable limits could be demonstrated.
