Abstract

Uncooled directly-modulated laser-diode modules with a driver IC were successfully demonstrated with a record-high mask margin of 15% under 10.7 Gbit/s (22% under 9.95 Gbit/s) even at 85°C and an extinction ratio of 7.5 dB.
