Polarization dependent wavelength shift and new polarization modulation locking for phase-shifted fiber Bragg gratings

Abstract

We present polarization sensitive characterization of fiber Bragg gratings and a novel wavelength reference based on a laser stabilized to a grating. The locking scheme enables a relative wavelength accuracy better 10−7 (0.15pm) at 1550nm.
