Incoherent Microwave Photonic filters with complex coefficients using stimulated Brillouin scattering

Abstract

We propose and demonstrate for the first time to our knowledge an incoherent microwave photonic filter with complex coefficients. The technique is based on a controllable optically-induced RF phase shift by means of stimulated Brillouin Scattering.
