Abstract

Using sonograms and phase retrieval we experimentally investigate the pattern dependence of the amplitude and phase dynamics, the linewidth enhancement factor, and the chirp of a data-modulated 1.55µm vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser (VCSEL).
