Abstract

10-Gbps, 80-km transmission was achieved by a wavelength-tunable EA/DFB laser with 8-channels and 100-GHz spacing. A dynamic extinction ratio over 10-dB and a power penalty below 2-dB were achieved over 5.6-nm continuous wavelength tuning range.
