Generation of Radially Polarised Beams from Optical Fibers

Abstract

We generate radially-polarised beams, for the first time with a novel, phase-engineered fiber that possesses these spatial patterns as stable eigenmodes. With conversion-efficiencies >99.7%, this is an attractive alternative to complex free-space techniques used currently.
