Abstract

Stable 2.2-ps parabolic pulses are obtained by filtering of 1.3-ps Gaussian pulses with a LPG-based filter. Their subsequent nonlinear propagation in dispersion-shifted fiber resulted in supercontinuum generation with flat spectral response over 20 nm.
